Children's House Day Nursery in Bracknell

Our nursery is set in a convenient location between Bracknell and Wokingham, and provides us with acres of space for exciting outdoor play and exploration.

Our Bracknell Nursery

Children’s House Day Nursery in Bracknell, is actually located on the outskirts of the village of Binfield – midway between Bracknell and Wokingham.
So although we refer to our nursery as a Bracknell nursery, we’re actually as close to Wokingham and attract parents from both towns (and a wider catchment area due to our proximity to the M4, M3 and other road networks, and our accessibility with plenty of ‘on site’ parking).

We occupy a beautiful converted Edwardian mansion house in a semi-rural location, with large rooms and high ceilings, with many original features. The character of the building, with its bright and airy rooms, gives our children lots of space to explore, play and learn. The nursery is warm and welcoming and has a homely feel which we love, and are very proud of.  Our Bracknell nursery has been totally refurbished with love and care, and is a beautiful space for our children to enjoy.

Our indoor play space
We’ve developed separate rooms for our babies (3 months to 12 months), our toddlers (12 months to 24 months), our 2 -3 year olds, and our pre-school children (3 - 5 years), enabling us to resource each room appropriately for the age group, and where they are cared for, nurtured and encouraged to explore and investigate. Three of the rooms have direct access for the children to our outdoor play areas – which allows them to free-flow indoors and out, depending on their preference. The 2-3 year olds have a short but quick detour to their outside space which is managed by staff to give children maximum choice and freedom.

Our outdoor play space
If you visit our day nursery in Bracknell, you’ll see that it is surrounded by extensive grounds and is bordered by our own ‘fenced off’ and secure woodland.  Each age range has its own designated garden and outdoor play space, and in addition, our 0-2 year olds enjoy their own decked area. Our woodland area supports our very own secure Nature Trail (which the children love, and enjoy all year round), and we also have a ‘Sensory Maze’, a ‘Natural Materials Exploration Area’ and a shared grass area bordered with apple trees – all of which allows us to develop children’s natural love of woodland, wildlife and ‘the great outdoors’ in a truly wonderful environment.

Our children also love the huge wooden treehouse that they gain confidence on as they climb (and have huge fun on, as they slide off down our ‘shute’). We have digging and planting areas in our ‘Veggie Patch’ which we use to teach the children about growing and about food. And we have ‘sand play’ areas and a ‘mud kitchen’ in which children can dig, build and experiment with sand, mud and water as they discover what can be done with these different materials.

Our resources, equipment and facilities
Whilst you wouldn’t expect to find a day nursery in Bracknell with such extensive outdoor facilities – and we appreciate that we’re lucky to have them – we have also worked hard to create the best indoor facilities too. Our baby and toddler rooms are equipped with resources such as sensory equipment, treasure baskets, and our toddler ‘play gym’ - carefully selected and designed to promote your child’s development. The rooms for our older children are packed with resources designed to offer children as much choice as possible and capitalise on their individual areas of interest.

We are committed to remaining the best day nursery in Bracknell, and to providing outstanding childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years of age, and our nursery facilities and environment form an important part of that. We also run a ‘breakfast club’ (opening at 7.30am) - the children are walked to the local school – and an ‘afterschool club’ (open until 6.00pm) where we collect the children from school. We also offer term time only packages for children whose parents are teachers.

We believe excellent childcare and education depends on:

•    Providing rich enabling environments, and stimulating activities
•    Having knowledgeable enthusiastic staff to support children’s learning and development
•    Working in partnership with the parents and families of the children in our care
•    Training, valuing and rewarding our staff for the crucial role they play in supporting children’s learning and development
•    Children and adults having fun!

We hope you do too – and that you’ll pop in and see us at Children’s House Day Nursery in Bracknell.
